The theoretical physicist who has revolutionized our view of space, time and gravity
Albert Einstein was probably the greatest scientist of the twentieth century, able to make innovative contributions in various fields of physics, the atomic theory of matter to cosmology.
His contribution has been the most profoundly original theory of general relativity , which represented the first major advance since Newton's interpretation of gravity and has had radical consequences on our view of the universe on a grand scale.
Despite being one of the founders of quantum mechanics, Einstein never resigned to accept the consequences, as he was convinced that every correct description of nature must be strictly deterministic.
Einstein also knew how to take a public stand on controversial issues without worrying about a lot to go against, always inspired by common sense and strong moral principles (though not religious) seasoned with a healthy dose of humor.
